“Shrinking the time between disaster and recovery”
- SBP New Orleans
SBP was founded to help New Orleans recovery process after Hurricane Katrina. Since then the non-profit has expanded exponentially and, in addition to helping owner occupied properties recover, has made a move into affordable housing.

The following images show the process of surveying and documenting thirty SBP lots and testing prototypical affordable housing types, as well as, a selection of the documents sent to the city for permitting and approval.
A personal favorite, I was fortunate enough to serve
an Americorps term, building similar homes, before being brought on to help with design process.
