Research Studio

A call has been made for a reimagination of public space and monuments. This project focuses on a historical and politically charged space in New Orleans and questions how a community can use shared spaces to address collective memory, political unrest, and social justice.

In collaboration with the Albert and Tina Small Center for Collaborative Design this studio included research, community engagement, feedback, a design process, the following proposal, construction development, and culminated in an exhibit on display in the AIA New Orleans Design Center.
